Poppy House

About

Hi, I'm Charisma.

The honest reason I opened Poppy House: I wanted a place where people could be around other people without the pressure of having to join the conversation. I've struggled with my mental health my whole life. I know what it's like to feel isolated and wish you could connect, any way at all, without standing in a group trying to say the right thing at the right time, and then feeling that small sting of having said the wrong one. Last year I was in a really low place, and all I wanted to do was bedazzle, watch my shows and have my snacks. I remember thinking, "I wish I could do this somewhere around other people," somewhere I didn't have to talk if I didn't want to. Then I went to New York, happened upon an art cafe, and loved it. Weeks later it clicked: I could bring that here. My head has been spinning with dreams ever since. Poppy House has grown a lot since then. At its core, it's a place for people like me whose souls scream for quiet connection. It's also a place for girlfriends to yap and play with sparkly things, for cute dates, birthday parties, team outings, bachelorettes and baby showers. A warm, pretty space where people feel creative.

For casual creatives who want to get out and try art.
